How Does Titan Work?

Titan is a noninvasive, safe treatment that requires virtually no downtime. The device utilizes an infrared light that penetrates deep beneath the skin’s surface to heat the dermis, the second layer of skin. The dermis contains collagen and elastin fibers that make up the skin’s internal supportive structure. As you age, the production of these connective fibers in the dermis diminishes, which can give rise to various cosmetic concerns including wrinkles and cellulite.

By heating the dermis, Titan gently causes damage that the body responds to by producing new collagen and elastin. New collagen growth restores the skin’s plumpness and elasticity to fill out hollows and tighten lax skin. During the treatment, a layer of ultrasound gel is applied and the device provides continuous cooling of the outer layer of the skin. The application of the gel and the cooling sensation reduces any discomfort during the procedure. There may be some mild swelling or redness post-treatment, but these effects should subside after several hours.
